Shiny and New

'Round the corner was born today. The intent of this blog is for discussion of what is "around the corner" not only physically, but in time as well.

One of the biggest changes in my lifetime has been the speed of change. 1000 years ago, it took several generations for small changes in how things were done. A couple centuries ago it took less time for changes to occur. Today change is very fast. Things that were held as true when I was in college 20 years ago aren't true any more. We no longer have nine planets. There are more than the 105 elements that were on my periodic table. There were only 3 biological kingdoms. The future of man and the changes we might anticipate will be one topic of discussion, another will be places to go. We live in a beautiful and marvelous world. Let's share the wonderful places and events that are 'round the corner.
